Candidates,

Congratulations on your election to the Order of the Arrow! Your selection by the Scouts in your troop is an honor, and we look forward to your participation in our Lodge. To become a member of the Coosa Lodge of the Order of the Arrow, you must complete the induction process called the Ordeal. Please see the Yearly Calendar to see a list of Induction weekends.

Below is a list of instructions to make your Induction a success.

1. No dinner will be served on Friday, so please eat before you arrive at camp!

2. You will need a copy of your current BSA physical form parts A & B at registration, so please have it ready when you arrive. Please bring a copy so that you will not need to have it returned to you after the Induction.

3. You should bring the following items. You should not need any additional supplies.

a. Sturdy work clothes and gloves (long pants, long shirt, etc.)

b. BSA Field Uniform (aka “Class A”)

c. Sleeping bag

d. Small tarp or ground cloth

e. Water bottle

f. Toiletries

g. Rain gear

h. Tent

i. Pocketknife

j. Bug spray and/or sunscreen

k. Small Daypack

l. Medical necessities

Please Note:

-The weekend will conclude at around 10 AM on Sunday morning. Plan to remain in camp until then.

-The Coosa Lodge Trading Post, complete with Lodge memorabilia, shirts, caps, jackets, etc., will be available after the Saturday night ceremony. You may purchase items with cash or a credit card.
